Description

Journey through time is a 'racing' board game with an educational element in which players assume control of one of four famous historical figures and compete to collect all the artefacts across four distinctive biomes as quickly as possible.  Whichever adventurer completes their quest to obtain all four artefacts - attainable at the end of each biome - first, wins the game.  We’re targeting fairly young individuals with an interest in history and past exploration (I other words the board game is for 8 and above)

 Mountain, rainforest, desert and ocean environments each come with their own set of tailored possible events triggered on the player's journey when landing on an event space, some of which are fortunate and others less so. The health and movement of a player or other competing player's may be affected by these cards - and sometimes sabotage or co-operation may be an option.

 The fate of the player may also be dependent on which historical figure they choose out of Marco Polo, Amelia Earhart, Captain James Cook or Percy Fawcett; as each one of these characters has their own unique set of ‘wildcards’ which hit the player with challenges and more brutal - or rewarding - happenings based off their real-life ventures and feats.
